At Calyx, we offer calibration services for invasive and noninvasive patient simulators such as blood pressure monitors, ECG/EKG monitors, pulse oximetry monitors, and more. Calibration is conducted using specified equipment and standardized procedures. Most devices require an oscilloscope, patient monitor (this verifies ECG, respiration, pulse oximetry, body temperature invasive and noninvasive blood pressures), signal amplifier, digital multimeter, pressure, vacuum, and leak tests.
Having these monitors calibrated is important because incorrect readings can lead to unreliable results and pose risks to patient safety. Accurate calibration ensures patient simulators function correctly. Annual calibration is recommended, though some clients opt for six-month intervals for enhanced accuracy.
Our team at Calyx has years of experience in calibrating biomedical devices and patient simulators of all kinds. If you need a partner to ensure your devices provide accurate results, contact us today to learn more.
Our goal is to make calibration simple and hassle-free for medical facilities and laboratories. That is why we do our best to provide on-site calibration and repairs wherever possible. Our ability to provide on-site services will largely depend on the type of patient simulator that needs servicing. We have an extensive stock of replacement parts and can often perform minor repairs on-site. If we are not able to calibrate and/or repair the simulator on-site, we always do our best to get our client’s devices returned as quickly as possible.
